Richard Clements is a professional, ACC accredited interview, career and employability skills coach and consultant with two International Coaching Federation accredited Diplomas in Coaching. For the past seven years his coaching and consulting has helped hundreds of clients to overcome their limitations, increase their confidence and achieve their professional and personal goals. He has successfully worked with clients at all levels - from graduate to CEO - and everything in-between. Richard is a CIPD-qualified Human Resources professional and also has a Masters in Human Resource Management and a degree in Communications Studies. His unique blend of professional and personal experience, alongside his related academic qualifications and voluntary work, make him an ideal coach to support others to become the best versions of themselves, both in and outside of work.
After graduating, Richard spent nine years working in HR teams across a variety of industries in London, Sydney and Melbourne. Richard has worked in prestigious organisations, such as The Guardian, global asset management firm Insight Investment and the UK’s fifth and sixth largest accountancy firms, BDO and Grant Thornton. He also has experience in e-commerce, publishing and the public and charitable sectors. His expertise in identifying, attracting and hiring talented individuals into these organisations allowed him to develop a deep understanding of business eco-systems and the behaviours, values, cultures and ways of working that fuel individual and organisational success. During this time Richard coached his colleagues during periods of transformation and redundancy, and project managed his own, intensive study into the link between internal communications and employee engagement in the London headquarters of insurance market-leader Zurich.
Since creating Clear Cut Selection in 2015, Richard has experienced and navigated first hand the challenges and rewards associated with creating a successful business - an experience he also draws upon to the benefit of his clients.
Richard feels passionately about social responsibility and environmental issues. He volunteers as an employability skills mentor for the CIPD Steps Ahead programme, which helps improve the skills and life chances of young people seeking employment. He has also been an active supporter of The Bansang Hospital Appeal (find out more here) for the past six years. Clear Cut Selection is a remote business that has a minimal carbon footprint, and engages in a variety of green practices aimed at reducing waste and minimising environmental impact. We actively support other small, local business as much as possible and are staunch advocates and supporters of equity, diversity and inclusion and allyship wherever possible.
